Santa has added a layover in PlayStation Home to an already-packed holiday itinerary. On December 10, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is opening up a new PlayStation Home space that allows you to see Santa’s workshop through the unique Home filter — by which we mean it’s now kind of eerie.

This Thursday, the Watchmen will come to save LittleBigPlanet from hoodwinks, in a new costume kit that allows you to assume the identities of four key characters from the acclaimed graphic novel, and its recent movie adaptation. Arkham Asylum A Medical Review

Polite Dissent is a great website which analyses the medical scenes within comic books. The blogger is now taking his turn at the PS3/X-Box360 Batman game. I’ve had several people ask me what I think, medically, of the game Batman: Arkham Asylum and I’m happy to oblige. If posting to the blog seem light this week, you can blame the game.

Overall, it’s a great experience. Though I’m a big fan of video games, it takes a lot for a game to really suck me in to its world completely, and Batman does that (the previous game that pulled this off was the first God of War). The setting, character design, and storyline are all appropriately creepy and the voice acting — especially Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill — is excellent. Playing the game, I really feel like Batman — I see a crowd of thugs and think, “I can take them, easy,” just like Batman should.

Uncharted 2 and Video Creation

When its released I will be suggesting to my student to toy with this great option which allows you to create your own little video on your PS3. Naughty Dog have a very vibrant community and there are so to be How To Guides and more when the game comes out. One to Watch Out for!

Naughty Dog is hoping the community will take advantage of Uncharted 2 in the same way with its suite of impressive machinima tools.

Players can place Drake in front of a green screen, for example, and queue up various animations and camera angles.

History on PS3’s LBP (Little Big Planet)

LBP is a great platforming game which was famously used my a Sony exec to as a kinda scrolling slideshow where the sackboy (name of the protagonist) walked along a landscape activating buttowns and such so that facts about Sony Playstation could pop up to the viewing public and press. Since taht moment I have been thinking of doing the same in one of my history classes and now I am one large step closer to doing so with this great now Hisory Kit available for download through the Playstation Store (Sony’s PS3 Online store front). Check out the video for and info from the great Joystiq website! The KIT could also be considered as a cultural pack as the ARABIC and ASIAN elements still have much cultural resonance in the modern world. Perhaps an enterprising student might had in an assignment using LBP in the future?
